Across the U.S. and Canada, many RV centers offer roof repair or replacement—but for most, it’s not their core focus. The result? Short-term fixes that often lead to long-term problems.

 
❌ Common RV Roof Repair Options (And Why They Fail)

Rubber Roof Replacements (EPDM, TPO, PVC):
These are the most common (and cheapest) roof options—but also the most failure-prone:

Seam separation membrane tears and punctures.
Adhesive failure creating bubbling and delamination.
Derogation, and Cracking from the sun and travel stress.
Roll-On Sealants (Silicone, Acrylic, TPO-based):
Quick, DIY-friendly—but these “band-aid” solutions just hide delaminated layers and seams. They might stop a leak temporarily but won’t solve the long term real problem.

Polyurea Sprayed Over EPDM:
Some shops offer to spray polyurea directly over your existing rubber roof — usually patching and regluing the old roof down so it can be sprayed over. Which sounds smart - until the the rest of the underlying EPDM adhesive fails, causing the new polyurea to peel away with the underlying EPDM roof membrane. Although this tremendously cuts overall roof replacement costs. It’s a risky shortcut, based on glue which is always the weakest link and thus not a lasting fix.
