RUSTPROOFING AT MILLENNIUM  LININGS

WHY VALUGARD ?

ValuGard’s line of OEM-approved products are designed and tested specifically against the new liquid nano de-icing brines used throughout the country that our far more destructive than their earlier Salt counterparts. – These Brines are now being applied everywhere even in the Southern parts of the United States!

Although the Best type of Undercoating for new cars is Asphalt Based. There are huge differences between them just as there are in today’s Motor Oils as we have all been tought Full Synthetic Motor Oils with their specialized additives far outperform the Basic Motor Oils of the last two decades.

High quality asphalt undercoating is typically made by combining a base of refined asphalt with specialty additives like rubber polymers, waxes, and corrosion inhibitors, creating a thick, flexible coating that creates a permeant self-healing barrier that effectively repels water and adheres extremely well to metal surfaces, offering robust protection against rust and corrosion, especially in areas exposed to harsh weather conditions; this mixture is often designed to be sprayable for easy application on vehicle undercarriages.

Cheaper asphalt undercoating is typically made by using a high proportion of basic asphalt with minimal or no added additives, then using solvents like acetone to thin the mixture to make it easier to spray, this then results in a less durable and potentially more messy application compared to higher quality undercoating’s which include rubber polymers, corrosion inhibitors, and other strengthening agents. Additionally, the cheaper formulas usually require reapplication due to the serious issue of them flaking off and or cracking leaving voids in the protected surface.

How do ValuGard Product lines compare to others:

·          Asphalt Cut Back Undercoating for superior adhesion compared to both the Rubberized formulas and the Cheap Asphalt Undercoating Blends – will not freeze, “pocket” crack or fail.

·          Self-healing properties prevent moisture from penetrating “behind the barrier” in the event of a rock chip on underbody.

·          Unlike oil-based products, ValuGard product lines are designed to be applied one-time and have up to Lifetime warranty available on new vehicles.

·          No need for annual re-inspection or reapplication, unlike other products that require these inspections to “maintain warranty”. Leaves you with more time to enjoy your vehicle.

·          Unlike other product lines, ValuGard Rust Inhibitor doesn’t require any DRILLING to be applied. As drilling causes rust-causing metal shards, and breaks the paint barrier from factory. One of the reasons we have received OEM approvals!

·          A Typical Valugard Applicaton takes about 3-6 hours depending on vehicle size with a Full cure in about 24 hours. Valugard will not come off on clothes or drip on your driveway, unlike many oil-based products which remain viscous even months after application.

·          Unlike Cheaper Asphalt Products, All ValuGard Anti-Corrosion lines are tested specifically against the Magnesium and Calcium Chloride liquid de-icing brines.

At Millennium Linings we only spray the very best which is why we only use ValuGard VG-160 Military Spec Solvent is a high-performance solvent-based wax-based coating for body panels vehicles.   VG-160 provides a flexible and abrasion resistant coating for superior protection against corrosion caused by moisture, salt, alkalis and galvanic reaction.

VG-160 is an abrasive free material, formulated with specially refined organometallic complex petroleum products fortified with top-of-the line additives.  We are confident about the long-term durability of VG 160 Military Spec Undercoating because it has been tested and proven specifically against the liquid de-icing chemical brines used in many parts of the country.

·          Designed to meet the extraordinary demands for commercial salt / plow trucks

·          Exceeds Federal Specification MIL-C-0083933A and MIL-PRF-62218B

·          As a complimentary product with our Military Spec Cavity Rust Inhibitor, VG 160 will protect areas on under body panels.

·          Ask about combining with our VG 101 Military Spec Cavity Rust Inhibitor for full scope Mil Spec protection on your vehicle

·          Field testing undergone with over-the-road tractor trailers shows VG 160 protects vehicles with optimum performance even after gravel and salt exposure of over 2000 hours.

Warranty Available for passenger vehicles less than 36 months old.

CAN UNDERCOATING BE USED AS A SOUND DEADNER?

Yes, and ValuGard VG-160 Undercoating makes an excelent  "sound deadener" for your vehicle even when just applied as a standard application. However when applied as a Double or Tripple application it can be used as a form of soundproofing, especially to reduce road noise and structural vibrations in a vehicle; however, it might not be as effective as dedicated soundproofing materials depending on the situation. In these cases sound proof foams are often utilized inside your vehicle to reduce sound and road noise futher. At Millennium Linings we offer both types of services.

WARRANTY INFORMATION FOR VALUGUARD PROTECTION AT MILLENNIUM LININGS

*Used vehicles with rust or corrosion present do not qualify for warranty.

**Extra Charges - used vehicles rust conversion process encapsulates existing rust and creates a quality surface for undercoat to bond.

Note: Vehicles with 20,000+ miles take much longer to prep before the application process. Keep this in mind for scheduling as these vehicles take longer than a new vehicle when undercoated.
